SJCE Robotics Lab with support from TEQIP and e-Yantra is an advanced laboratory to execute state of the art projects. e-Yantra is a project initiated at IIT Bombay and sponsored by Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India. Under this project, with additional support from TEQIP-2, Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering of JSSSTU, has set up this Robotics laboratory with advanced robotic kits and equipments with a cost of Rs 25 Lakhs, where students design and execute projects through out the year.

e-Yantra, IIT Bombay also organizes mainly two types of competitions every year: (a)e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC) (b) e-Yantra Ideas Competition (eYIC). During 2016-17, four teams from our college participated in e-YRC and another 4 teams participated in e-YIC. Three teams reached southern region level finals in e-YRC where as one team of e-YIC after going through regional finals was selected for National Finals at IIT Bombay.

Two faculty coordinators and two students were also invited to attend the annual e-Yantra symposium at IIT POWAI, Bombay:
Thus two teams of SJCE participated in e-Yantra symposium-2017. First team:
