Dr. K. R. Sanjay is working as Associate Professor and Head in the department of Biotechnology. He received his PhD degree from Central Food Technological Research Institute, University of Mysore. He obtained his Masters and Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from University of Mysore. Dr. Sanjay has 17 years of research experience and 10 years of teaching experience. His areas of teaching interest are Microbial Biotechnology, Biochemical Techniques and Dairy Biotechnology.

Dr. M.N.Nagendra Prasad, Associate professor and HOD in Department of Biotechnology has research and teaching experience of around 16 years. He has completed his Doctoral degree in Microbiology from the University of Mysore. His research interest are in the area of Molecular characterization, Herbal drug technology in management of Diabetes and Nephrolithiasis and Nano-biotechnology.

Dr. N Haraprasad is working as Professor in the Department of Biotechnology. He graduated from the University of Mysore and obtained his Masters Degree and Doctoral Degree from University of Mysore. His area of specialization is Medical Biotechnology and In silico drug designing.

Dr. S. NanjundaSwamy is a Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology. He received his Ph.D (Chemistry) from University of Mysore. He 16 years of research experience and 10 years of teaching experience. His research work involves, designing and synthesizing compounds targeting specificproteins, which play a specific role in cancer. Screening of various chemically synthesized and naturally derived compounds for anti-cancer properties, understanding their mode of action at the molecular level. His studies have identified several promising candidates. He has published 70+ Research papers in National &International Journals of repute. He has received research grants from various funding agencies DST, SERB, UGC and VTU.

Dr. Hema B.P. is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology. She graduated from the University of Mysore. She obtained her Masters Degree from University of Mysore and Doctoral Degree from Karnatak University, Dharwad. Her area of specialization is Plant Biotechnology and In silico drug designing

Mrs. Lakshmi.S is the Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology. She graduated from the Visveshwarayya Technological University and obtained her Master’s Degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University. Her Area of Specialization is Chemical Engineering. She works in the area of Detoxification studies of water by Chemical and Biological methods

Dr. PallaviVastrad is Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biotechnology. She has a teaching experience of around 25 years. She is also a Senate member of Dharwad University.

Krithika A is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology. She obtained her B.E. and Master’s Degrees from Visvesvaraya Technological University. Her area of specialization is Environmental Biotechnology and Food Biotechnology

Ms. Supritha G Swamy is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology. She received her M.Tech and B.E degrees from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore.She is also pursuing Ph.D in Biotechnology on haemostasis and wound healing properties of plant material. Ms. Supritha has 4 years of research experience and 2.5 years of teaching experience. Her areas of teaching interest are Engineering Principles of Biotechnology, Enzyme Technology, Diagnostics and Cancer Biology.
